Geelong's Premier NewLaw Firm

Founded by leading thinkers in business and marketing strategy, Van Beveren Lawyers enthusiastically embraces the principles of NewLaw in delivering excellence in customer service and legal expertise.

The NewLaw Advantage

01 Modern

A NewLaw firm isn’t just different in its delivery of services to clients. It has structural differences too. NewLaw firms pride themselves on being flexible and inclusive places to work.

02 Fixed-Price

Fixed price packages allows staff to put genuine effort into “non-billable” tasks like professional learning and development, marketing and client relationships.

03 Agile

Embracing disruptive technology means lawyers can continue working from home without having to stay long hours in the office. We can be available when you are,  and keep prices down without large rental overheads.

The purpose of a new law firm is to remove the friction that clients previously experienced as clients of traditional law firms - i.e. cost, delay, and inconvenience.

In the NewLaw model:
  • Customer experience is central;
  • Services are offered for fixed fees;
  • We embrace digital transformation;
  • We run on agile business principles.
Background
The NewLaw paradigm entered legal consciousness with the publication of NewLaw New Rules in 2013, an e-book produced by collaboration with 40 people around the world. The principles were crystalised in Remaking the Law Firm, published in 2016.
